Well if you’re reading this then I guess the changes I made have worked – and if you’re not then I’ve still got some work to do.
I’m en route to Alderley Edge for the next couple of days – driven part way tonight to avoid a 4am start in the morning. It meant heading off before Megan went to Brownies tonight but it will make life easier tomorrow.
The A6 went past 12,000 miles on the way down tonight, so I’ve certainly had plenty of opportunity to become acquainted with it since April (when it had just 50 on the clock). It’s a much better car than the V70 in just about every way (the iPod interface is great too – had to re-tag all the mp3 files properly to get the best out of it, but more of that another time). The only complaint is the seats, they’re just not as good as the Volvo ones (although I don’t think Angela agrees!)
The ride and handling are excellent and whilst the two litre diesel engine is a bit agricultural, its quick enough and manages nearly fifty to the gallon.
